Culture is like the air we breathe. Most of us don’t think about it or even know exactly how it works, but it’s all around us and vitally important to our small business success. It’s like they say, (Honestly, I have no idea who they are) “Attitude drives action” so let’s start with the one person who sets the tone for your business – you. Ouch…sorry to start here, but we as Owners and CEOs of our organizations are the face, Facebook and biggest Fan of our companies. Have you ever looked at someone’s face that has a bad attitude? It shows, doesn’t it?
The first step is admitting there is a problem and no matter how much we love what we do we can improve our attitudes – without even spending any money on it. I love those kinds of solutions. Over the next few weeks we will look at a few other Blue Collar CEO culture action items that are critical points for anyone who wants to affect lasting change in their circle of influence, family and business. For now, lets baby step into the unknown world of introspection….yeah- I looked that up.
